Kacy Pleasants

Yoga Instructor

Kacy first discovered yoga as a way to balance her love for fitness and quickly found it gave her strength, focus, and a new perspective. She loves that her practice is both grounding and empowering, providing space for physical challenge, mental slowing, and breathing. Kacy hopes students leave her classes feeling stronger, more confident, and more connected to themselves. Outside of yoga, she is passionate about general health, including strength training and high-protein recipes, and enjoys spending time with her family, dogs, and engaging in creative outlets.

Elinor Miller

Yoga Instructor

Elinor's yoga journey began during her first pregnancy as a means of back pain relief, starting with a powerful and captivating hot power yoga class that hooked her instantly. She sees yoga as a dance between strength and ease that teaches her when to push and when to soften, always bringing her back to herself. Elinor aims for her students to leave with the same self-awareness, the ability to listen inward, and the discovery of their inner strength. Beyond the studio, she is passionate about self-mastery, sharing her insights through coaching and her community, and enjoys being a wife and mom, reading, minimalism, and spending time outdoors, especially by the ocean.

Noel Hall

Yoga Instructor

Noel's discovery of yoga was unconventional, starting at a pizza party in 2019. Don’t ask! What she enjoys most about her practice is that it brings her soul back to her body. Above all, Noel hopes that regardless of the class format, students leave feeling they have given themselves permission to be authentic—neither good nor bad, just true to themselves. Outside of the studio, her unique passions include asking weird questions, telling men to smile, and watching Dancing with the Stars.

Tracy Edmonston

Yoga Instructor

Tracy's introduction to yoga came in her late 20s as a means of cross-training for her running and aerobics teaching. As she began having children, her practice shifted, and she found the stillness and quietude (the meditative part) that she carries with her today. She loves to move her body with her breath in nourishing ways, ranging from power class to deep stretch, and wants her students to be able to trust their bodies to lead them in seeking balance both on and off the mat. In her spare time, Tracy can be found exploring nature and spending time with her family.

Michael Terrill

Yoga Instructor

I started practicing yoga in 2016 with an intention of physical exercise that wasn't weight lifting. The heat, the focus on breath, and the option of intensity kept me coming back. I quickly noticed a mental clarity and speedier recovery after intense work outs. Yoga become a daily routine with me tha eventually was prioratized not only for its exercise but for its positive effect it had on my decision making. After a few years of consistent practice I set my intentions on teaching. I wanted to bring the practice of intention setting, and option of progression to others. Completing my training in 2023, I found my voice in clear direct ques and hands on assist. In my classes you will always be qued to breath, modify, and progress.

Natalie Fath

Yoga Instructor

Natalie turned to a consistent yoga practice during a difficult time working with traumatized youth, finding it a vital space for processing and healing, and was deeply drawn to Jivamukti's spiritual and ethical emphasis. What she loves most is the sense of playfulness, lightness, and deep embodiment the practice cultivates, helping her move through life more grounded and confident. Natalie strives to offer her students that same chance to tune into their bodies and access inner clarity, hoping they leave feeling more connected to themselves. Outside the studio, her passions include global humanitarian aid, engaging in community, traveling, connecting with nature (especially hiking), and reading/writing, all often shared with her family.

Sandy Hawkins

Yoga Instructor

Sandy started practicing yoga as a teenager and deepened her commitment by completing her 200-hour certification in Costa Rica. She particularly loves the standing practice as a form of moving meditation and hopes her students can experience the same shift, leaving the busy mind behind to connect more deeply with their bodies through mindful movement. When she is not teaching, Sandy’s favorite pastimes are traveling the world, experimenting in the kitchen, and getting lost in a good book.

Mia Lovens

Yoga Instructor

Mia first discovered yoga in 2008 in college and was immediately drawn to the combination of movement, breath, and mindfulness, initially immersing herself in Bikram-style practice. What she loves most is how her practice makes her feel deeply connected to herself, others, and a sense of the divine, finding space for strength, softness, flow, and stillness. Mia hopes to create a trauma-informed, grounded, and uplifting environment where students cultivate their curiosity, resilience, and self-awareness. Outside of yoga, she is passionate about theater making, being in the mountains, reading, writing, and practicing languages, along with dancing, singing, and spending time with loved ones

Benjamin Randall

Yoga Instructor

Benjamin's yoga journey began with a confusing first class at the YMCA, leading him to enroll in a beginner's course so he could cater to multiple levels as an instructor. He credits yoga for providing the tools to reclaim himself physically (losing weight and getting strong), mentally (recovering from depression), and emotionally (reconnecting with loved ones). Benjamin’s main goal is for his students to gain even a small amount of this mind-body-spirit connection in his classes. Outside of practice, his passion is his dogs and his garden, which he has transformed into beautiful visual and olfactory oases.

Mary 'Lexi' Strawder

Yoga Instructor

Mary Lexi first encountered yoga as a key component of her training as a competitive swimmer, a relationship she rekindled after stepping away following spinal fusion surgery. She aims to create a fun and inclusive environment where students feel empowered to break physical and mental barriers and align with their highest selves, seeing yoga as a mental practice that builds regulation and resilience off the mat. An aspiring Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Lexi is passionate about mental healthcare advocacy, somatic therapy, and blending mind, body, and spirit through a focus on Ayurveda and Eastern psychology. Outside of school and the studio, she enjoys working out, soaking up nature, and writing.

Tricia Thompson

Yoga Instructor

Tricia first discovered yoga after being invited repeatedly by friends who had a consistent practice. As a former competitive dancer, she immediately felt at home with the movement, the studio, and the community. Tricia deeply enjoys the time spent connecting with herself in her head and body, linking her breath to her movement, and meeting herself wherever she is that day, whether that means challenging or restoring. She hopes her students can find a strong connection with themselves and discover solace on their mat and within the yoga community. Outside of yoga, her passion is raising her four school-aged daughters (alongside her husband and two dogs) with mindfulness, incorporating all aspects of yoga beyond the physical poses (asana). She also loves to cook and prioritizes preparing nutritious food for her large family.

Erica Yonkman

Yoga Instructor

Erica discovered yoga in college after years of competitive dancing and got serious about her practice post-college, appreciating the safe space it provided while navigating the real world. She enjoys that yoga allows her to get out of her head and be fully present, a feeling she hopes to offer students through creative flows that keep them guessing and connect breath to movement. Outside the studio, Erica loves to travel with her husband, lounge with their two cats, and go for a run outside.

Katherine Hanson

Yoga Instructor

Katherine initially discovered yoga after retiring from a collegiate swimming career as a way to rehabilitate injuries and restore health to her back. Her practice became more serious as a new mother, where she found mindful movement deeply helpful in healing trauma. She now focuses on sharing this trauma-informed therapeutic practice of liberation with others. Katherine enjoys the feeling of bringing awareness to her body and breath, which she describes as a loving connection with herself and the Divine, and is sustained by the way her practice nourishes her life and deepens her awareness of her dharma (purpose). In class, she acts as a facilitator and guide, inviting students into a safe and supportive experience, hoping they leave feeling loved, supported, and connected to Divine Love. Outside of yoga, she loves to cook, surf, write, experience the outdoors, sing, dance (she was a Zumba teacher), travel with her family, and has a deep love for the ocean, recently completing her freediving certification.
